When you connect your Google Calendar to Meetical, Google asks you to allow Meetical to:
-
See and download any calendar you can access (
calendar.readonly), so Meetical can show your meetings. -
View and edit events on all your calendars (
calendar.events), so Meetical can add the link to each meeting's Confluence page to the calendar event.
Meetical asks for nothing else: no access to Gmail, Drive, contacts or other people's data.
Unlike Microsoft 365, Google has no organization-wide approval. Every user confirms Meetical's access to their own calendar once, on Google's consent screen. A Google Workspace administrator can only decide whether users may allow Meetical.
When users see "Access blocked"
Some organizations restrict third-party apps in Google Workspace. Users then can't connect their calendar and see a message such as "Access blocked: Meetical is blocked" or "This app is blocked", sometimes with the error admin_policy_enforced.
A Google Workspace administrator fixes this once for the organization by adding Meetical as a trusted app. Share this page with them.

Allow Meetical in the Google Admin console
You need an administrator account with the Service Settings privilege. Meetical's OAuth client ID is shown on the Google Workspace setup page. Confluence administrators also find that link, with a copy button, on the Calendars tab of Meetical Admin in Confluence, with Google selected.
-
Sign in to admin.google.com.
-
Go to Security → Access and data control → API controls and click Manage App Access.
-
Click Configure new app, paste Meetical's client ID, click Search and select Meetical.

-
Under Access to Google data, choose Trusted. To allow only what Meetical needs, choose Specific Google data instead and select
https://www.googleapis.com/auth/calendar.readonlyandhttps://www.googleapis.com/auth/calendar.events. -
Click Continue, review and click Finish.

Google says changes can take up to 24 hours, though they usually apply sooner. Your users can then connect their calendars as usual.
Troubleshooting
-
Still blocked after allowing Meetical: wait for Google to apply the change (up to 24 hours), and check that the organizational unit you chose includes the user.
-
Calendar is a restricted service in your organization: choose Trusted or Specific Google data. Limited only allows unrestricted Google services.
-
Still stuck? Contact Meetical support and include a screenshot of the message your user sees.
