Easy Calendar for Jira started as a Codegeist Hackathon app. This page lists completed changes, roadmap items, and feature requests.

In 2024 the app received feature and reliability improvements and transitioned from free to paid.

Shared Subscriptions: Admins can share subscriptions from one configuration with other users. Users can be added to a subscription and receive their personal subscription link to install or share it.

Calendar subscriptions now default to a 5-minute refresh interval and can be manually refreshed, for Outlook and other calendars that respect the X-PUBLISHED-TTL flag.

Admins can manage any global subscription, regardless of the subscription owner.
Improved performance of issue subscriptions with optimized JQL.

Improved user experience with the UI Kit 2 upgrade, including faster loading and autocomplete for project lists, filter lists, and similar selectors.
Fixed support for instances with more than 200 projects, filters, or items.

Admins can use Admin Features to restrict access to app features based on user groups.
Added the ICS URL property. Supported calendars can now open the related issue or release when users click the event.
Improved loading for instances with many projects.

Global calendar subscriptions can be used to share calendar subscriptions across and beyond the enterprise.
Subscriptions can now have a title or name. The title is shown in the subscription list and used as the default calendar name when the subscription is added.

The app is now an Atlassian Marketplace Cloud Security Participant.

Manual admin upgrade required for version 3.x. The app is now paid and remains free for sites with up to 10 users. See the official announcement.
Performance improvements and admin logs were added to help troubleshoot Outlook issues. Also see the FAQs.
When creating calendar events or meetings, users can choose start and end fields to pre-populate the event start and end date/time. Due date and start date are used as defaults.

Added an orange release status for releases that are 100% done but not released.
Added the project key to release titles.
Added a direct link from the event to the release summary.

Issue descriptions are now available in ICS exports. This can be turned off if needed.

When a start date is set on an issue, the calendar entry starts on that day. Related feature request: MDEV-979.

Issues without a due date are shown as due today.
Existing subscriptions can be edited.
When issues are in the done status category, the resolved date is used instead of the due date.

API support for Google and Microsoft calendars to sync into personal and group calendars and enable faster sync. Share your thoughts through our support portal.
Sync changes from the calendar back to Jira.
Jira dashboard gadgets to show Jira issues, releases, and other calendar subscription data.

Use the sprint end date as due date and show sprint end dates on the calendar.
Show the last access date for subscriptions and deactivate subscriptions that have not been used for more than 4 weeks.
Allow defining a default time instead of creating full-day events.
Map emails when creating meetings.
Add usage statistics for subscriptions. Basic statistics are already available in the admin section.
Customize emoji status. Currently the app uses the Jira issue status category.
